Hi, I'm Will.
I run DigiShift Consulting solo. I work as a strategist, solutions architect, and fractional technical leader for founders and engineering leaders who need a senior partner translating ambition into architecture, scope, and an execution plan their team can run.
11+ years across a Big 4 consultancy, venture-backed startups, and a data and AI industry leader. I've co-founded, led engineering at, and advised on technical decisions inside companies from seed-stage through Fortune 500.
Every engagement ends with the same four artifacts: a written technical strategy, a reference architecture, a vendor and hiring plan, and a handoff session. No slide-ware.
How I work
Engagements run 4–12 weeks. I sit in architecture reviews, write technical scope documents, evaluate vendors, run hiring rubrics, and brief boards when needed. By the end of an engagement, your team has the strategy, the architecture, and the hiring or vendor plan to execute against — all in writing.
I'm a good fit when
- You need someone senior in the architecture and decision-making seat — not another IC.
- Your team is shipping product, but no one owns the data or AI roadmap.
- You're hiring a CTO or VP Engineering and want experienced coverage in the meantime.
I'm a bad fit when
- You're looking for a contract developer to build features. My work ends at the scope and architecture — when implementation is in scope, I refer to trusted build partners with full disclosure on any referral relationship.
- You want a vendor to manage. I work as a peer to your leadership team.
- You need offshore-rate pricing.

Co-founded a venture-backed platform and led technology end-to-end as CTO — setting the technical vision, the architecture, the hiring plan, and the vendor strategy. Drove the platform decisions that scaled the business to 170,000 organic reach at 23.8% monthly growth, $500K+ in Fortune 500 contracts, and a $30M valuation in three years.
Analytics Manager — Big 4 Consultancy
Sold, scoped, and led the first in-firm-only delivery team on a Fortune 500 healthcare account. Architected the consolidation of provider-experience data across five enterprise sources into a Hadoop data lake. Rolled out a GPT-based decision-support workflow that cut team workload and decision latency by 25–30%.
